The Sovereignty quilt is a modern reinterpretation of the antique Mohawk Trail block, combining gentle curves, Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP), and accessible construction methods. In this workshop, Tara teaches students how to pair FPP with easy curved piecing to achieve accurate, striking results while building confidence in both techniques.

This workshop also includes her Mixing Prints Masterclass, where students learn a practical, intuitive framework for combining fabrics from different designers, collections, and eras. You will explore color, scale, and motif in ways that help quilters move beyond a “matching” mindset and develop a stronger personal design voice. This workshop blends construction and design work.

Students practice accurate piecing techniques while also developing a clearer approach to fabric selection and print mixing. Together, these skills create a strong foundation for expressive, confident quiltmaking.
