The Sovereignty quilt is a modern reinterpretation of the antique Mohawk Trail block, combining gentle curves, Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP), and accessible construction methods. In this workshop, Tara teaches students how to pair FPP with easy curved piecing to achieve accurate, striking results while building confidence in both techniques.
You’ll cover step-by-step FPP methods, tips for handling smooth, and gentle curves.

Students can expect to complete at least one block in class and gain the skills and confidence to continue the project at home.
This workshop is great for quilters who are new to FPP or curves, as well as experienced makers who want a focused, skill-building project.

Students can expect a strong start on the full 16-block quilt, and gain the skills and confidence to continue at home.
