Mexican, a wife, mother, and grandmother, Lilia Jimenez studied and practiced administrative and insurance medicine.
She also studied grief therapy, palliative care, and art therapy, and worked for many years with terminal patients and their families, as well as with grieving families.
She gave classes and conferences to professionals in the medical field. The combination of art therapy, grief work, and quilting marked a turning point in her journey; in 2013, she decided to open a quilt and embroidery shop-atelier.
She loves textiles, especially Mexican ones.
