Road & gravel routes

Starting in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines the Val d’Argent cycle road (Véloroute) (16 km) is an essential route around the valley. It connects Chatenois and Rue de la Forge in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.

The various surrounding mountain passes will delight lovers of high elevation gain, particularly the magnificent Col des Bagenelles (with breathtaking views of the Val d’Argent), Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, Fouchy, and Petit Haut, with possible starting points directly in Sainte-Marie, Sainte-Croix-aux-Mines, Lièpvre, or Rombach-le-Franc, or around Sélestat for a longer ride.
