Barbara Lange is an internationally recognized quilt artist whose work bridges tradition and contemporary discourse. Exhibited worldwide—including at Quilt National (USA) and major exhibitions across Europe and Asia—her quilts explore questions of identity, structure, and cultural dialogue.
Her artistic language combines conceptual depth with refined craftsmanship, positioning the quilt as both a historical medium and a powerful contemporary form of expression.
A former president of the Patchwork Guild of Germany and a member of the Quilt National Committee, Barbara Lange has played an influential role within the international quilting community. She is also active as a curator, juror, and educator, teaching and lecturing internationally. Through these multiple roles, she fosters exchange across cultures and generations, strengthening the global dialogue around textile art.
