The Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) was born out of the thriving online community of modern quilters and their desire to meet in person. The guild was founded in Los Angeles in October 2009.Thanks to blogs and the internet, the news spread quickly, and modern guilds began popping up everywhere.QuiltCon is the annual event of the Modern Quilt Guild, featuring over 600 modern quilts and welcoming more than 10,000 visitors each year.
