SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) is an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote art quilts, « a visual art creation that is formed of layers or stitches that mimic the shape of a sewn layer ». SAQA is dedicated to showcasing avant-garde, beautiful, and thought-provoking art around the world.SAQA members, with access to a museum-worthy exhibition program, push the boundaries of art and change perceptions of contemporary textile art. These exhibitions not only provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their work but also reveal the variety and complexity of art quilts to the public.
