The Patchwork Guild of Germany publishes a Tri-annual juried challenge in which it calls its members to enter their best pieces free of a theme or size restrictions. In this 13th edition of 2023, 36 pieces were selected. The jury members were Will Fritsma (NL), Claudia Scheja (D) and Barbara Lange (D). The style of the quilts ranges from traditional quilts made of old bed linen to modern interpretations of traditional quilt patterns and all the way to abstract art quilts. The quilters are well known German artists on the one hand but also include new, fresh names. The show travels throughout Europe for two years, stopping in textile museums and festivals. Full color catalogue will be available.
