Guilde Hollandaise de Patchwork

The “Connected in Red” exhibition is a unique project of the Dutch Quilters Guild. The color red was chosen because it is the color used in the Quiltersgilde logo. All members were invited to participate in this challenge, and more than a hundred of them opted for it. The rules were simple: make a quilt measuring 80 x 100 centimeters (w x h) using the fat quarter of red fabric that each participant received. By keeping the rules simple, the goal was to present a very diverse collection of work from our members. The submitted works vary in style, from art to contemporary to traditional quilts. Amid this diversity of styles, one thing remains constant: the use of the same red fabric. “Connected in Red” is more than just an exhibition; it’s a celebration of the community, camaraderie, and shared love of quilting that unites the members of the Dutch Quiltersgilde. As you explore each quilt, you’ll witness the power the art has to bring people together and inspire connections that transcend borders and boundaries.
