Fifteen by Fifteen is an international group of 15 artists sharing the same passion: textile art. Spread across the world, their meetings are mostly virtual.Each year, one or more themes are chosen, and the artists create six quilts.The photos and explanations of each artist’s approach are posted on the group’s website every 8 weeks.The size of the quilts is linked to the group’s name: 15 x 15 inches (about 38 x 38 cm).The personality of each artist, the wide range of techniques and media they use to create their works, from painting to textile collages to hand or machine embroidery, allows them to create original works. Not only do they share a love of textile art, but also a desire to learn, experiment, and the will to share their passion with a wide audience. Their work has already been exhibited in France, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Taiwan.
