Cecilia Koppmann was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has been sharing her love of patchwork and quilting for over two decades.She began her journey in 1998, developing textile works using patchwork and quilting techniques, and working with hand-dyed cottons and silks inspired by a deep understanding and passion for color.
Since then, she has taught and exhibited in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the United States, France, England, Mexico, and Uruguay, spreading her creative energy across continents.For 24 years, she has introduced countless people to the joy of quilting, including 14 years on television, and since 2020, she has continued to inspire new generations through online classes.One of the cornerstones of her teaching is building community—bringing people together through fabric, color, and shared stories.
Her work has received numerous national and international awards, and her expertise is recognized throughout the quilting world.
She has also served as jurors at major festivals, including the Gramado Quilt Festival in Brazil, the Santiago de Chile Quilt Festival, and the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork in France.
