Ana Helena Abreu has been teaching quilting for over twenty years.Originally from a small city in southern Brazil, near the borders of Uruguay and Argentina, she grew up surrounded by the influence of handmade traditions.Inspired early on by her grandmother, she began sewing as a young girl and quickly developed a deep love for fabric-based crafts.Over the years, Ana Helena studied the history of patchwork and specialized in designing class-specific projects for all levels, from beginners to advanced students.Her dedication to education has led her to teach at numerous quilt festivals as a faculty member, as well as in her own studio.She has shared her knowledge and passion with thousands of students from across Brazil, helping them grow their skills and discover the creative joy of quilting.In 2024, her work was featured at the Carrefour Européen du Patchwork as part of the focus on Brazil.Her teaching approach is rooted in a respect for tradition, a clear structure, and an infectious enthusiasm for geometric designs and visual illusions.
