Sarah Hibbert has been a quilter for more than 35 years. Over the course of her career, she has exhibited internationally and built a strong global reputation, further enhanced by her book From Collage to Quilt. Her work is often inspired by art and architecture while remaining rooted in traditional quilting heritage. Sarah has presented solo galleries at the Festival of Quilts in the UK, as well as international exhibitions in Spain, France, and South Korea. In 2024, she began a collaboration with another internationally recognized quilter; the resulting work was also featured in a dedicated gallery at the Festival of Quilts, UK. Her quilt Reflections was acquired in 2019 by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles for its permanent collection as a representation of modern quilting. More recently, two of her quilts were acquired by The International Quilt Museum in Nebraska, USA. In July 2023, Sarah was appointed Ambassador for the Modern Group of The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles, further affirming her influence within the contemporary quilting community.
