Founded in 1989, the Hungarian Patchwork Guild is dedicated to promoting the art of patchwork and supporting Hungarian quiltmakers. It has grown into a dynamic creative community that fosters dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary quilt practices.
The Guild is committed to preserving Hungary’s rich textile heritage while encouraging innovative reinterpretations. By bridging past and present, it ensures that traditional knowledge remains vibrant and relevant.
Its members regularly participate in national and international exhibitions, professional collaborations, and educational initiatives. Community building and the sharing of knowledge are central to its mission, strengthening connections among quilt artists both within Hungary and beyond its borders.
